Jullie & Chelsea: Taste Test Tuesday | Kombucha

Happy Taste Test Tuesday! Jullie here, with this week's edition all about kombucha! A long time ago, I gave this unique beverage a try…and to be perfectly honest…I didn’t like it. So I didn’t go near the stuff ever again. 2016, however, has been a year all about trying new and healthier things, and I figured…kombucha deserves a second chance.

Jullie: Simply Snap Meals Volume 2

Here’s another roundup of quick and easy recipes! So easy that I can make them while holding a phone in my hand and posting on Snapchat… ;) These are all dishes that I got a lot of feedback on and got a few questions on, so I wanted to post them here on the blog. I love hearing from everyone, so if you ever have a question or comment, always feel free to send a message over! There are also a couple of product reviews mixed in here…just a few thoughts on some new faves, so make sure to check everything out. :)

You can also check out the first Simply Snap Meals post here!

Jullie & Chelsea: Cocoa Parlor

Hey, guys! Chelsea here with a fun little brand spotlight for you! If you read our Taste Test Tuesday post from a couple of weeks ago, then you know that we raved about the Simple Pleasure bar from Cocoa Parlor. We're back this week because Cocoa Parlor was sweet enough (get it, sweet) to send us a package of their own so we could try some of their other flavors!

Jullie: Wanderer Bracelets | PT 2

Wander. Explore. Adventure. All keywords in my vocabulary. So when Chelsea told me about Wanderer Bracelets? Interest. Instantly. Piqued. The next step was to browse for a bit on their website…and I definitely got caught up in all the goodies available in their shop! (You know it’s meant to be when you immediately want to add everything to your cart!)

Chelsea explains the history of the bracelets and how Wanderer got its start in her post. It’s all great information to know--to appreciate where these little pieces of ‘jewelry’ come from--so make sure to check it out! Chelsea and I both admire their business model and their philosophy. Locally-sourced, all-natural materials. Carved and weaved by village artisans. All done with sustainability and providing job opportunities for a whole community in mind!

Chelsea: Wanderer Bracelets

I discovered Wanderer Bracelets in the same place that I discover most of the coolest things I know about: Instagram. They kept popping up on my feed as a sponsored post and finally, I gave in and clicked. And boy, did I love what I saw!

Jullie & Chelsea: Taste Test Tuesday | Dark Chocolate

If you follow us on Snapchat, you probably know that most of our 'girls day' dates typically revolve around trips to the grocery store (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's...), perusing aisles for our favorite snacks or for new brands to try. It only made sense to share some of the taste testing fun with all of our followers! :) So we're super excited to bring another new feature to the blog: TASTE TEST TUESDAY!

In this week's edition, all about DARK CHOCOLATE *praise hands*, you'll find a little bit of information about and links to each brand we sampled (we both picked two each), as well as our scoring results. We decided to judge three key categories: quality of the ingredient list, texture, and overall flavor, and we awarded points based on a 1-5 scale. Now before you get any ideas about this being a super stiff critique of each one...Nah. We're not about that life...This is about the two of us trying new things and learning about different options that are out there, and maybe it'll help you out next time you're staring down the chocolate aisle trying to figure out what you want. Remember the motto, friends. Stay hungry, stay adventurous. ;)

Jullie: Introducing Simply Snap Meals!

I’m so excited to reveal this new feature on the blog! I do a ton of cooking(/eating) over on Snapchat. And recently, I realized how great Snapchat is for sharing what I'm currently cooking up in the kitchen (yay recipe testing!), sharing  the occasional grocery or market haul, and even recording a few quick product reviews and spotlights. Chelsea and I are both big online shoppers, so we've even done a couple of "unboxing" vids too! (I love that friends/followers can view a story in chronological order! *side eyes Instagram and Twitter's timeline algorithms*) While photos that end up on the blog or Instagram are usually edited shots of an already finished product, Snapchat has definitely become a fantastic way to share the "behind the scenes" process. It's all live and real-time! (#SimplySnapMeals!)

Jullie: Wishlist Wednesday, Travel Edition

If you were to go through my text conversations with Chelsea, I'm willing to bet that a majority of them are links to products that we found and are currently oohing-and-aahing over. We're both huge online shoppers. We're always finding great deals and sharing cute stuff with each other. It didn't really click for me, to turn that habit into a weekly blog post, until we went on a weekend vacay together! I finally decided that Wishlist Wednesdays need to happen! For our very first post, we're each sharing our top 5 items inspired by travel.

On the heels of a sunny SoCal trip, and with spring break fever still going strong, I'm dreaming of a tropical vacation right about now! I've decided to give my wishlist a bit of a beachy theme! :D

Chelsea: Wishlist Wednesday, Travel Edition

Hey, guys! Chelsea here! As you may or may not know, Jullie and I just got back from a little weekend trip and we ran into a few things that inspired a bit of a travel-based wish list on our trip. Whether they're things I don't already have, or things that I could use an update on, this is my first Wishlist Wednesday post: Travel Edition.

Jullie: Planner Essentials

Before re-launching this blog, I knew that I'd have to come up with a way to keep posts in order and to regularly schedule new content. I wanted to do better this time around, when it came to consistency and to staying on track.

So, I went back to basics: using a good ol' fashioned planner.

Which meant...putting real ink to actual paper (sorry, iPhone notes app, you just weren't cutting it anymore) and really taking the time to list everything out. It hasn't magically, completely solved my procrastination issues :P, but it's already made a huge difference so far.

Initially, I thought I'd buy a simple little planner, like the dainty little date book that my mom carries around in her purse. But wow, the planner game has changed, my friends. It's anything but old-fashioned anymore. Looking at you, Erin Condren Life Planners. There are so many different formats and brands and sizes available. Then, there are all the little ways to embellish your layouts. To be honest, I love anything artsy-craftsy, so the idea of getting to decorate my planner definitely appealed to me. But I had no idea there was so much stuff out there. It got a little overwhelming. So to simplify, I narrowed it down to just a few essential items. Here's the "beginner's"-type list that I came up with!

Jullie & Chelsea: 2015 Holiday Gift Guide

Still wondering what to get your family and friends for Christmas this year? We came up with our own list of unique gift ideas!

Chelsea: Happily Ever After with Happily Ever Tees

Jullie and I have talked before about our love of all things Disney, so when I came across the brand Happily Ever Tees on one of the many Disney feeds that I follow on Instagram, I had to check them out. The ironic thing is that I had already favorited their Dole Whip shirt on Etsy months ago and had no idea!

Here's what you need to know: this online shop is run by a husband and wife team of Disney lovers who have managed to capture the fun and carefree vibe of Disney in their adorable (and not to mention ULTRA comfy) t-shirts and vinyl decals.
